STUNNING proposal session on Sunday evening ✨
A perfectly balmy evening, clear skies, and the sweetest kind of magic in the air.
Arif planned it all to perfection, completely surprising Maria with the most beautiful proposal. The ring was truly something special — an emerald cut with a sapphire underlay, so unique and timeless.
These two met while studying at the University of Wollongong — from opposite sides of the world, Maria from Mexico and Arif from Bengal — and somehow, against all odds, found their way to each other..
From different continents to this one moment… and of course she said yes 💍🤍
So many giggles, so much joy, and a moment that will be carried with them for a lifetime.
Congratulations to the very cute and beautiful Maria & Arif! Wishing you both a lifetime of love, adventure, and fun times always.

A magical proposal at Bubbletent Capertee 🤍

She thought they were just walking back to the tent… but Lyan had something very special planned....

On Tuesday afternoon I drove out to the Bubbletent in Capertee — about an hour or so outside of Mudgee — and the landscape out there is just so incredibly beautiful.

It wasn’t my first time photographing there. I’ve been a couple of times before and it somehow feels more magical every time.

A few weeks ago, Lyan got in touch with his very special plan to pop the question. He had organised a wonderful trip from Melbourne — a couple of days exploring Sydney, followed by two nights staying at the Bubbletent. The final night was the big moment.

And the weather… it was absolutely perfect — especially considering all the rain we’ve been having lately.

The day before, Lyan messaged to say it was getting quite dark around 6:45pm and wondered if we should bring the timing earlier. I reassured him that with clear skies, 6:45 would actually give us that beautiful golden sunset light.

He had been working with the wonderful Bubbletent staff to organise the proposal setting. While they were out for dinner, the team prepared everything ready for the moment.

As Lyan guided Vanessa back down toward the tent — gently asking her to keep her eyes mostly closed — he led her up onto the deck to the exact spot he had chosen. He spoke from the heart for a little while before finally getting down on one knee… and of course she said yes.

Those beautiful post-proposal smiles say everything.

Afterwards we wandered around the property capturing an beautiful collection of photos with stunning backdrops in every shot — and truly, the whole place is just stunning.

Sweet baby girl 🤍

Eight months old and already discovering the world with those bright, curious eyes. The most beautiful red hair, the sweetest little expressions, and that lovely stage where personality is really starting to shine through. I love capturing this age and I so recommend it too — if you missed the newborn stage, it’s still so worth capturing these sweet little smiles.

These months pass so quickly, and it’s such a privilege to capture them.

Flashback to when I updated my headshots last May… I can’t quite believe this was almost a year ago!

I was looking back through my folders expecting to find them in the last quarter… nope. Then the third quarter… still no. And there they were in May. Time seriously has switched to fast forward these days — don’t you agree?

Since then I’ve decided to grow out my fringe… which means I’m currently right in the crux of the bad hair [every day] saved only by a headband!

At the end of the shoot, Sooty ran up to the studio and I picked her up for a couple of photos with her — a completely impromptu addition. I love these images so much. She is such a beautiful-natured, sweet girl to all who know and love her… but if you’re a stranger, she takes her job of guarding the family very seriously and can look quite fierce in the process — especially if you’re not used to dogs.

Since our eldest son Huw brought her home last January, she has well and truly found a place in all of our hearts and brings so much love & joy, helping us through the everyday stresses of life.

She did become unwell last September with seizures, and after some tests at the vet it seems she likely has hyperthyroidism. She’s been taking supplements and doing well, but she’s had a bit of an upset tummy the last few days — a little reminder of how precious and fragile life can be.

At the end of last year, we captured a very specia

At the end of last year, we captured a very special vow renewal and family memories for this gorgeous family from the Southern Highlands ✨

Rachel from Wild at Heart officiated a beautiful, heartfelt ceremony filled with meaningful symbolic gestures — including a traditional hand-tying ritual, and a candle lighting ceremony. One candle was lit for each of their boys, and a final candle for their marriage union — symbolising the light they’ve built as a family.

They also shared a sip of a lovely vintage red wine — Bren’s father’s favourite — a simple, beautiful tribute woven into the day 🥂🤍

And oh, the weather… it was grey and moody (my fave), and just as the ceremony began the rain rolled in. We shifted under a magnificent tree for shelter, still soaking in those iconic views over Wentworth Falls — proof that even a little wild weather can’t dampen a moment like this.

Just a few special ones from the afternoon!
