Flashback to when I updated my headshots last May… I can’t quite believe this was almost a year ago!

I was looking back through my folders expecting to find them in the last quarter… nope. Then the third quarter… still no. And there they were in May. Time seriously has switched to fast forward these days — don’t you agree?

Since then I’ve decided to grow out my fringe… which means I’m currently right in the crux of the bad hair [every day] saved only by a headband!

At the end of the shoot, Sooty ran up to the studio and I picked her up for a couple of photos with her — a completely impromptu addition. I love these images so much. She is such a beautiful-natured, sweet girl to all who know and love her… but if you’re a stranger, she takes her job of guarding the family very seriously and can look quite fierce in the process — especially if you’re not used to dogs.

Since our eldest son Huw brought her home last January, she has well and truly found a place in all of our hearts and brings so much love & joy, helping us through the everyday stresses of life.

She did become unwell last September with seizures, and after some tests at the vet it seems she likely has hyperthyroidism. She’s been taking supplements and doing well, but she’s had a bit of an upset tummy the last few days — a little reminder of how precious and fragile life can be.

Matt called me just before Christmas. He purchased a gift voucher for Emma and quietly booked a couples session as a surprise for her.

The afternoon could not have been more perfect.
Black cockatoos circling above us.
Golden light spilling across the escarpment.
And the most epic Blue Mountains sunset to finish.

At the end of last year, we captured a very specia

At the end of last year, we captured a very special vow renewal and family memories for this gorgeous family from the Southern Highlands ✨

Rachel from Wild at Heart officiated a beautiful, heartfelt ceremony filled with meaningful symbolic gestures — including a traditional hand-tying ritual, and a candle lighting ceremony. One candle was lit for each of their boys, and a final candle for their marriage union — symbolising the light they’ve built as a family.

They also shared a sip of a lovely vintage red wine — Bren’s father’s favourite — a simple, beautiful tribute woven into the day 🥂🤍

And oh, the weather… it was grey and moody (my fave), and just as the ceremony began the rain rolled in. We shifted under a magnificent tree for shelter, still soaking in those iconic views over Wentworth Falls — proof that even a little wild weather can’t dampen a moment like this.

Our annual Christmas photo...more challenging this year than most to co-ordinate but grateful to have everyone together in the one image....including our lovely girl Sooty 🐶 whom our eldest son brought home last January...she's settled in and won our hearts. We still have our old girl Kelly 🦮 but she couldn't make it up the stairs to the studio this year.

December has been extra busy finishing Christmas photos — editing & capturing so many beautiful family moments.
I had planned to feature every family like I usually do, but the days truly sped by… and suddenly it’s Christmas already 🎄
Thank you so much to all the lovely families who came along for Christmas photos this year — aren’t they just the cutest? I absolutely loved the vintage car set, it was such a gorgeous backdrop.
I was running a little behind this season, so mental note to myself: Christmas minis in early November next year 😉
And thank you to all the couples/proposals/weddings, families and corporate work, I’ve been so fortunate to photograph this year. Nearly 14 years in business, and I still feel incredibly grateful and blessed to do what I love 🤍✨
