At Rachel H Photography we love to work with families and couples in a fun and relaxed experience to capture classic timeless memories and create stunning wall art that will transform your house into a home.

Our classic style is characterised by sharp, crisp images, with a dreamy feel, that makes the images often look like a painting. We love creating portraits within a stunning background.

About me….

I am an optimist.

I am a lover of all things retro.

I appreciate quality over quantity in everything.

I eat too much chocolate.

I love to dance.

I dream of distant lands with both foreign and familiar faces.

Most of all I love taking photos.

I always wanted to be an artist, in high school I discovered my love of art and design..and then photography found me when I first used an SLR camera, I was hooked.

I now live in the Blue Mountains with my husband and 2 gorgeous boys and our beautiful old dog called Kelly.
Weddings keep me busy, it’s a little addictive being apart of such an amazing day. Surrounded by people high on happiness. Documenting and then presenting the day in storybook form.

I also love to photograph your family story and pride myself on creating stunning portraiture.

Being a photographer is to document what is now, but these photos will live beyond us.

In 2003-2004 I Studied towards The Photography Certificate at Sydney Institute of Technology Ultimo.

I have since also studied at Nepean Arts & Design Centre; achieving a Diploma of PhotoImaging with Distinction for Portfolio.

I still and always will strive to improve, seek knowledge and perfect my craft.

I was a fully accredited member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photographers until 2021 when they sadly went into administration. AIPP provided invaluable support for photographers, and participating in their awards was an inspiring experience.

I am now a member of the ‘professional photographers business network’.  Its a group of professionals that share information to ensure we stay up to date with everything current in the industry.

I’ve also recently completed some film studies – so watch this space…I hope to offer short films in the near future, for couples, proposals, families and small weddings.
